Analysts hopeful for $50 crude in 2017

Crude oil should average $57 a barrel in 2017, FuelFix reports.

According to the source, analysts predict that crude oil prices will rise to $49.50 by the end of the fourth quarter of 2016.

The price recovery will be gradual. The current slide in prices isn’t expected to last too long, even though it has fallen by more than 20 percent this summer. One analyst predicts U.S. shale production to drop early in 2017 before ramping back up over the next couple of years.
