Bidell Gas Compression plans to repurpose a former machine shop in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia for use in fabrication, sale, ;ease and service of natural gas compression equipment, according to the Herald-Star.

The 1000,000-square-foot building is part of property purchased by the Frontier Group from previous owner ArcelorMittal Steel. Bidell Gas Compression, a Total Energy Services Inc. subsidiary, plans to operate its U.S. headquarters out of the location.

The company ultimately settled on the location after looking at sites in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. The search ended when the company decided the Weirton location met its needs for space, an available and quality labor force and good working relationships with government officials.

The company will create 60 new jobs before the end of the year and 100 by the end of 2018.
