In an effort to increase access to gas from the Marcellus and Utica shale plays, a Canadian company has commissioned a $622.5 million natural gas pipeline expansion and compression facilities in southwestern Ontario, according to ShaleOhio.

The Union Gas facilities include compressors and related station facilities in Dawn, Lobo and Bright compressor stations. The new assets will move natural gas through Dawn-Parkway System.

The overall effort will link markets in eastern Canada and the northeast United States with the Dawn Hub.
