According to The Denver Post, the ban on oil and gas fracking in Longmont, Colo. has been struck down. However, the city won’t see any fracking activity until the court hears the case again.

Both opponents of fracking, including environmentalists, and those who support drilling, like the Colorado Oil and Gas Association.

From The Denver Post:

“Boulder County District Court Judge D.D. Mallard ruled that state law supersedes Longmont’s 2012 voter-approved ban on the controversial practice of hydraulic fracturing in oil and gas wells.”
