37 drilling permits issued in Appalachian Basin during week ended Sept. 12

Thirty-seven new permits were issued in the Appalachian Basin during the week of Sept. 6-12, according to Marcellus Drilling News.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection issued 18 permits for new shale well drilling last week, scatted across Pennsylvania.

Ohio issued almost as many permits during the same time period — 17. Ascent resources received 12 permits, Gulfport Appalachia received three and EAP Ohio LLC received two.

Two new permits were issued in West Virginia from Sept. 6-12.
