According to The Beaver County Times, PennEnergy Resources LLC was granted approval from the Freedom Council to build at least one water pipeline that would run through the borough for fracking purposes.

The pipeline would transport water from the Ohio River to fracking sites instead of using trucks to haul the water.

The newspaper states that the pipeline would save PennEnergy Resources money. However, the company has not yet determined exactly where the water will be drawn from the river.

  1. FED-UP & POd FARMER says:

Liquid nitrogen expands up to 700% more than water and leaves no solution that must be pumped out as hazardous materials, as it turns into untainted nitrogen vapor. While initially a little more expensive than water, the appeasement of environmentalists may compensate. I wonder why more water fracking isnt being replaced by liquid nitrogen as there is a facility in New Martinsville producing it.

You need slick water to frac Marcellus. Nitrogen goes everywhere in the ground. It also forced longer blow backs, and since it wont burn you have to blow gas out in the air to clear the nitrogen.

Based on the volumes you would be putting HUIGE amounts of methane etc., out in the atmosphere.
