The Mariner East 2 pipeline is back in business after receiving approval on Sunoco/Energy Transfer’s request for a waiver to Gov. Tom Wolf’s order shutting down all “non-life-sustaining” business in the state in response to COVID-19, according to the Daily Times.

The Department of Community and Economic Development approved a series of waivers for the company at 17 sites in Pennsylvania — 15 of the sites are related to the Mariner East project.

With approval, Sunoco is clear to resume construction and digging at several sites in Chester and Delaware counties on the pipeline that will eventually deliver hundreds of thousands of barrels of liquid gases from the state’s Marcellus Shale regions to a facility in Marcus Hook.
