UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Marcellus Education Team will be offering a new monthly shale webinar series beginning Sept. 13 from 1-2 p.m.

Tom Murphy, co-director of the Penn State Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research (MCOR) will open the series with an overview of trends and updates on shale development.

Murphy will provide an analysis of shale gas development including trends in rigs, productions, pipeline, and compliance.

The webinar is the first in a monthly series of online workshops addressing that provide education about on a variety of current topics related to shale gas development.

Other webinars

Upcoming planned topics include:

Oct. 18: Reading Royalty Checks;

Nov. 15: Utilization;

Dec. 20: What All the Water Studies mean: Putting them into Perspective;

Jan. 17: Ethane Cracker Plant Impacts in a Community;

Feb. 21: Environmental Organizations’ Perspectives on Natural Gas Impacts on Forestry and Wildlife.

Webinars will run from 1-2 p.m., with time for questions and answers. Registration is not necessary, and all are welcome to participate by logging in to https://meeting.psu.edu/pscems/ . Participants can log in with their Friends of Penn State ID or as a guest.
