Pipelines will help Marcellus Shale production continue to grow

Industry experts believe that once pipelines are open, Marcellus Shale production levels will continue to increase. According to Martins Ferry Times Leader, the addition of several pipelines in the Marcellus Shale market will allow for more natural gas to be transported to other markets.
Data from the federal Energy Information Administration shows that 14.6 billion cubic feet of natural gas is being produced in the Marcellus Shale each day. Five years ago, only 1.3 Bcf per day was being produced.
Drilling has declined due to depressed oil and natural gas prices, but production has been growing.
