Report: Ohio produced record oil and gas in 2019

Ohio produced all-time record volumes of natural gas and crude oil in 2019, according to the Debrosse Memorial Report.

The state’s natural gas production is estimated to have reached 2.882 trillion cubic feet last year with most of it being extracted from the Utica Shale.

The state’s estimated oil production during 2019 is 27.8 million barrels, which eclipses 2018’s total of 22.7 million barrels and also surpasses the 1896 total of 23.9 million barrels from the Trenton Limestone formation.
