Second quarter results show highest-producing wells in Utica

The Business Journal reports that currently, the most productive natural gas well in all of Mahoning and Trumbull Counties is operated by Hilcorp Energy Co.

Located in Poland Township, the CLL2 H3 well has produced 134.9 million feet of gas in 22 days.

In other areas of the Utica Shale play, companies are boasting high production numbers for the second quarter. In Center Township, Columbiana County, Chesapeake’s Dye 10H natural gas well produced 526.4 million cubic feet in the quarter. In Monroe County, Hail Drilling LLC owns the Utica’s most productive natural gas well. It produced 1.4 billion cubic feet of gas in 91 days.
