Shale Gas Royalty Owners Plan Conference

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — The Appalachian Chapter of National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) will host its annual members’ conference at the Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., Sept. 24-26.

Hydrocarbon development

This conference will feature presentations by national experts on the development of hydrocarbons in the Utica and Marcellus Shales of West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania along with other geologic formations in Kentucky and the Appalachian basin area.

Continuing education programs will be offered for attorneys and accountants desiring to learn more about issues associated with leasing, drilling, producing, and marketing natural gas, crude oil, and natural gas liquids.

Economic impact

Specialists from industry and government will be speaking about the economic impact and job creation associated with the Utica and Marcellus Shales. Leasing, royalty accounting, field operations, the potential for using compressed natural gas in commercial and passenger vehicles, and exporting liquefied natural gas from the U.S. east coast will also be discussed.
