The shale energy sector’s impact on domestic manufacturing could save as much as $22.3 billion by 2030, according to Pittsburgh Business Times.

The report released from PwC US states that 930,000 shale manufacturing jobs by 2030 and 1.41 million by 2040 will be created. The firm’s 2011 study showed a savings of $11.6 billion annually and the creation of 1 million jobs by 2025.

These dramatic increases in savings and expected job growth in the two studies show that the shale industry’s success directly impacts the manufacturing industry.
