A sinkhole with a 12-foot diameter was discovered along the route of the Mariner East 2 pipeline along Baltimore Pike near the state police barracksĀ in Delaware County, Pa., on Wednesday, according to the Daily Times.

Although no leaks, damage or injuries were reported in relation to the sinkhole, the township launched an investigation to look into the cause of the hole. Crews and an environmental engineer were on site as the hole was being filled.

Energy Transfer Partners, the company building the Mariner East pipeline, confirmed the sinkhole but stressed there was no danger and pipeline operations were not interrupted.
