Ten years later, pipelines still pose a problem for shale industry

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that after a decade, the shale gas industry lacks efficient pipelines. Several problems, ranging from reversing pipelines so that product can be moved out of areas instead of into the areas to delivering enough gas to areas that have had shortages, are challenging gas companies.

“Roadblocks to catching up include the speed of growth in the gas fields, changes in the market and, most importantly, permitting delays, industry leaders said.”
