NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio — The oil and gas activity throughout the county has created the need for the construction of pipelines to move the product. Many landowners have been and will continue to be contacted about granting easements on their property to allow for the construction of these pipelines.

There are a number of factors landowners should consider prior to entering into an agreement for pipeline construction.

Ohio State University Extension has developed a number of resources to help landowners get answers to their questions about pipeline construction.

These resources will help landowners determine how to negotiate an agreement, understand the questions to ask during negotiations, and recommend guidelines to follow during construction.

A copy of these free resources can be found at http://tuscarawas.osu.edu, or contact the Tuscarawas County office of Ohio State University Extension at 330-339-2337.
