SALEM, Ohio — The lawsuit between Summitcrest Inc. vs. Eric Petroleum Corporation, Chesapeake Exploration and Ohio Buckeye Energy, LLC is headed to mediation, according to the Columbiana County Common Pleas court records.
In the meantime, the well planned for Summitcrest Farms looks to be canceled. According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Chesapeake canceled the permit Jan. 19 for the well planned for that location.
The ODNR released an updated list of Utica shale wells permits Jan. 24. There were no changes issued to the list of Marcellus shale permits.
In Belmont County, a permit has been issued for a well in Mead Township for XTO Energy, Inc. to drill a well.
Several permits have been issued for Carroll County since the middle of December.
Permits have been issued for wells in Washington Township, two different properties in Augusta (Chesapeake Exploration), Center (Chesapeake Exploration), two different properties in East (Chesapeake Exploration), Perry (Chesapeake Exploration), Liberty (Enervest Operating LLC), Rose (Enervest Operating), Harrison (Enervest Operating) and Brown (Enervest Operating).
The report issued by ODNR also states Chesapeake Exploration is waiting to frack a well in Lee Township in Carroll County. The report also states that Chesapeake has finished fracking both wells in Center Township that have been under construction.
The two wells under construction in East Township are at two different stages. The Conglio well is reportedly ready to start producing and fracking has been finished at the Bucey well. The well in Augusta Township is moving along and the production casing is being set.
In Columbiana County, a permit has been issued to Chesapeake Exploration for a well in Washington Township.
Jefferson County. Jefferson County residents can expect to see two new wells in their area. Issued have been issued for wells in Springfield and Salem townships. Both were issued to Chesapeake Exploration.
. There were no new permits issued for Portage County. However, an update was provided on the Hosey well. Chesapeake Exploration is waiting to frack that well in Suffield Township.
One permit was issued for Goshen Township in Mahoning County to driller Chesapeake Exploration.
A permit has been issued for Meigs Township in Muskingum County to Anadarko E&P Company, LP.
And Noble County has been issued a permit for a well in Stock Township. The permit was issued to CNX Gas Company, LLC.
