Southwestern Energy Co. has made another deal in the Marcellus Shale, according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette PowerSource.
When WPX Energy decided to leave its stakes in northeastern Pennsylvania, Southwestern bought WPX’s assets for $300 million. The deal included 46,700 acres, 63 wells and firm capacity on the Millenium Pipeline.
Recently, Southwestern agreed to buy $5.38 billion of Marcellus and Utica properties from Chesapeake Energy Corp.
