According to Fuel Fix, American doctors want to know what fracking chemicals are made of.

At the American Medical Association’s annual meeting June 9, the group adopted a policy that supports disclosure requirements for hydraulic fracturing. Long-term public health and environmental changes will be more easily monitored and tracked with the new policy.

Texas is one state that requires chemical disclosure for fracking. After a June 28, 2014 natural gas well fire in Clarington, Ohio, state officials felt that Ohio’s disclosure laws, which leave the public in the dark about fracking chemicals, should be changed.
