In a recent poll conducted by Robert Morris University Polling Institute found that 57.1 percent of Pennsylvanians support hydraulic fracturing. Nationally, 55.9 percent of Americans are in favor of fracking, according to Robert Morris University.
Another statistic from the poll showed that 74.3 percent of Pennsylvanians believe that fracking can help improve the U.S. economy.
In 2013, Robert Morris conducted a poll and found that 42.3 percent of poll participants supported fracking. Compared to the 2013 poll, the recent poll shows that more people are aware of what fracking is and how it works, which may affect the increased number of people who are in favor of it.
