West Virginia Record reports that Antero Resources Corporation is facing a lawsuit with a Tyler County landowner.
The lawsuit states that Antero frequently causes spills, emissions of hazardous gases and chemical and industrial waste. Bethany Andexler, the plaintiff in the suit, claims that the company is negligent in its activities and has disturbed her property. The plaintiff is seeking both compensatory and punitive damages.
The newspaper states that since December, several lawsuits have been filed against Antero in the Kanawha Circuit Court.
