A gas-to-liquid plant proposed for Ashtabula, Ohio, has been put on hold.
The Business Journal reports that Pinto Energy initially intended to build the gas-to-liquids plant in 2013 in Ashtabula, but was then acquired by United Kingdom-based in 2014. Velocys plc is holding off on the Ashtabula plant in order to defer costs and due to challenges related to raising equity.
However, the Ashtabula gas-to-liquids plant’s projected economies are still favorable.
