Dura-Bond Industries has leased a United States Steel Corp. plant in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, with plans of reopening the facility to manufacture tubular steel for pipelines, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.
The company hopes to hire about 100 people to get the mill started sometime within the next six months, which is good news for the McKeesport plants, which idled June 2. The break affected about 260 employees.
Dura-Bond will be building its team from scratch in the coming months.
