Carbon Natural Gas acquires $21.5M in Appalachian natural gas assets

Carbon Natural Gas Co. recently acquired $21.5 million worth of natural gas producing properties and related facilities in the Appalachian Basin, according to Oil and Gas Investor.

Located primarily in West Virginia, the assets produce roughly 7.5 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and developed producing reserves are estimated at 52 billion cubic feet as of July 1. The acquisition also includes about 311 miles of natural gas pipelines, gathering lines and related compression facilities.

Carbon Natural Gas Co.’s affiliate, Carbon Appalachian Co. LLC, completed the acquisition on Aug. 15, from an undisclosed seller.
