Ohio EPA approves NEXUS pipeline project

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency recently granted the NEXUS Gas Transmission a water-quality certificate for its pipeline project, according to the Canton Repository.
NEXUS needed the certificate to construct its $2.1 billion, 36-inch diameter natural gas pipeline across Ohio. It requires NEXUS to have detailed plans for dealing with stormwater and unanticipated leaks of drilling fluid — two issues that arose during construction of the Rover Pipeline.
The 255-mile NEXUS pipeline will start near Hanoverton in Columbiana County and cross Washington, Nimishillen, Marlboro and Lake townships in Stark County before entering the city of Green.
