NTE Energy recently opened its Middletown Energy Center, making it the latest in a series of natural gas-fired power plants that the Florida-based company is developing in Ohio, Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina, according to Power magazine.
According to NTE, the 525-MW Middletown combined cycle facility is among the most efficient gas-fired power plants in the country. This is due to heat from the power generation process being used to create steam that drives a steam turbine at the plant.
