Last week, Gulfport Energy reported its second-quarter production jumped 28 percent as production grew in Ohio and Oklahoma, according to Kallanish Energy.
Compared to the same quarter last year, production grew from 94.5 billion cubic feet-equivalent (Bcfe) in the second quarter of 2017 to 121.1 Bcfe in the second quarter of 2018. Additionally, production has increased 3 percent from the first quarter of this year.
In Ohio’s Utica shale, Gulfport’s production grew from 78 Bcfe in the second quarter of 2017, to nearly 97 Bcfe in the same quarter this year.
