The Utica Shale Academy, which has locations at Southern local and Columbiana high schools in Columbiana County, Ohio, is focused on expanding its curriculum and creating more opportunities for its students, according to the Farm and Dairy.

The academy’s new director, Rich Wright has been working with the USA board of directors and sponsor Jefferson County Educational Service Center to expand its partnership with New Castle School of Trades. Wright believes building a stronger connection with NCST will increase student options.

The academy is also considering a technology-based partnership with Youngstown State University.
