EQT Midstream Partners, LP recently announced its Mountain Valley Pipeline project is going to cost more than originally expected, according to Zacks.

EQT increased the overall cost estimates to $4.6 billion from the previous estimate of $3.5 billion for the project. The partnership attributes the increased cost to extended work stoppages in August caused by opposition from environmentalists and heavy rainfall.

EQT expects to have more than 50 percent of the pipeline completed by the end of 2018 and the project is expected to come online by the end of 2019.
