Construction on the Risberg Line has finally reached Ohio from its starting point at the end of another pipeline in Meadville, Pennsylvania, according to the Ashtabula Star Beacon.

As the $86 million pipeline gets closer to its end-point in North Kingsville, pipe segments have been lined up on an area of clear ground south of Interstate 90, marking its path. RH Energytrans plans to finish construction on the Risberg Line in early summer.

The completed pipeline will flow 55 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of gas from Pennsylvania to the northern tip of Ohio in Ashtabula County. The pipeline will help address Ashtabula County’s natural gas needs. The county has suffered from a shortage of natural gas in the past which has impacted its ability to attract certain industries.
