About 40 protestors stalled construction on Sunoco’s Mariner East pipeline for over an hour in Edgmont, Pennsylvania on Saturday morning, according to the Daily Local News.
Sunoco/Energy Transfer was forced to temporarily shut down drilling operations on its project when about a dozen protestors entered the construction right of way carrying signs and a bull horn, and another three dozen protestors chanted and held signs high.
Police threatened the group with misdemeanor arrest and finger printing if they did not stay outside barriers. After about an hour and a half the protestors moved to a spot behind the barrier.
