Mountain Valley Pipeline LLC recently asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a two-year extension to complete the 303-mile natural gas pipeline in West Virginia and Virginia, according to Kallanish Energy.
The company asked for its deadline to be extended to complete the project from Oct. 13, 2020, to Oct. 13, 2022.
The project has been delayed due to “unforeseen litigation and permitting delays outside of Mountain Valley’s control,” MVP said. However, it still plans to complete the project.
