Energy Transfer LP recently announced it expects to finish the final phase of its Mariner East 2 pipeline expansion in Pennsylvania in the third quarter of this year, according to Reuters.
The announcement comes amid opposition from county commissioners calling for shutdowns in certain operating parts of the system.
Sunoco started work on the $2.5 billion Mariner East expansion in February 2017 and planned to have it finished in the third quarter of that year. However, Pennsylvania has issued 122 notices of violations since May 2017.
