A group of energy companies has formed an alliance focused on decarbonizing the Northern Appalachian region of the United States, according to Upstream.
EQT, Equinor, GE Gas Power, Marathon Petroleum, Mitsubishi Power, Shell Polymers and US Steel will work with stakeholders to develop a low-carbon and hydrogen industrial hub in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The goal of the hub is to set a national standard for sustainable energy and production systems and create thousands of new jobs.
