NGL Supply Co. Ltd. recently opened a propane rail terminal in Sycamore, Ohio to transport natural gas liquids from the Marcellus Shale and surrounding regions, according to LP Gas Magazine.

The 180,000-gallon terminal has the capability to offload eight rail cars at 1,500 gallons per minute. It also includes two truck-loading stations, which are fully automated and feature PLC safety controls, where trucks can load propane at 650 gpm.

The terminal is mainly supplied by rail cars from Marcellus Shale, but the dynamic market can force NGL Supply to source its propane from other regions.

The company completed construction on the project in December.
