Thirty-four new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia during the week ended April 10, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
Pennsylvania issued 15 new permits. Repsol received five on a single well pad. Range Resources and Seneca Energy each received four new drilling permits.
West Virginia issued 14 permits. Antero Resources received six permits. Southwestern Energy and HG Energy each received four permits.
Ohio issued five permits to Ascent Resources.
