Pennsylvania showed the most natural gas production growth among gas-producing states last year, according to a new report from Pennsylvania’s Independent Fiscal Office.
Natural gas production grew 7.9% in Pennsylvania, which was the strongest year-over-year growth rate of the top five gas-producing states.
Texas produced the most natural gas at 9,557 billion cubic feet. Pennsylvania produced the second most at 7,013 billion cubic feet.
Within Pennsylvania, Bradford County saw the biggest growth in production at 21.8% and Susquehanna County recorded the biggest production volume with 1,619 billion cubic feet.
