EQT has donated natural gas production equipment to Ukraine’s largest producer to restore facilities that have been damaged due to war with Russia, according to Natural Gas Intelligence.
JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya produces 70% of Ukraine’s gas, which totals around 12.5 Bcm.
“The war has significantly complicated delivery of required gas production equipment and materials. Certain equipment is just not readily available on the Ukrainian market,” said Ukrgasvydobuvannya’s acting CEO Oleg Tolmachev.
Working with the U.S. Government and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, EQT will be the first U.S. company to supply gas equipment to Ukraine. The equipment is expected to be used in all of Ukrgasvydobuvannya’s facilities except for the ones near the contact lines.
