Utica Shale Academy receives $2.35M grant to expand

The Utica Shale Academy received a $2.35 million grant through Ohio’s Appalachian Community Grant Program to expand its facilities and programming in Columbiana County, Ohio, according to The Business Journal.

The Utica Shale Academy primarily works with at-risk students, but the expansion will allow it to help others via evening programs.

The Utica Shale Academy’s expansion was one of four projects selected from 40 applications. The school plans to break ground in late July or early August.
