37 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. during week ended July 10

Thirty-seven new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia during the week ended July 10, according to Marcellus Drilling News.

Pennsylvania issued 25 new permits from July 4-10. Olympus Energy, Repsol and Clean Energy Exploration each received six drilling permits for individual well pads in Allegheny County, Bradford County and Tioga County, respectively.

Ohio issued five new drilling permits during the same time period. Encino Energy accounted for four of those permits to drill on a single well pad in Carroll County.

West Virginia issued seven new drilling permits to Antero Resources for drilling across three well pads in Doddridge County.
