Alternative to Keystone XL Pipeline proposed

International Business Times reports that Canada may have found an alternative to building the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline.
The Keystone XL Pipeline was first proposed as an extension of the Keystone Pipeline in 2008. This extension would pass through Montana, Nebraska and Oklahoma until it connects with the Keystone Gulfcoast Pipeline.
Now, Canada is considering routing a pipeline, named the Energy East Project, eastward through Canada, ending in Saint John, New Brunswick. There are obstacles to overcome with the Energy East Project, though. Environmentalists and politicians oppose the proposed plan.
