Columbiana County well production encourages Chesapeake

Chesapeake Energy may be cutting back on the number of its rigs and reducing the number of its fracking crews, but the company is expecting to expand its exploration in Columbiana County after impressive results from its wells there, according to The Business Journal.
Three of Chesapeake’s wells in Columbiana County have proved to be more productive than nine others that were drilled in the county earlier. In the first quarter of 2015, Chesapeake began production on 38 Utica wells. Those wells averaged 1,272 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Much of Chesapeake’s activity is centered in Carroll County, but the company has a strong lease position in southern Columbiana County, so exploration may expand there.

How often do royalty payments come?
Depending on the company, royalty payments can arrive monthly or quarterly.
