Four counties control 70% of Pa. natural gas production

Susquehanna, Washington, Greene and Bradford counties accounted for over 70% of Pennsylvania’s natural gas production for 2018 and projected for 2019, according to Kallanish Energy.

Susquehanna County captured a 24.7% market share in 2019 and 16.4% year-over-year growth with production projected at 1.25 trillion cubic feet this year.

Washington County captured a 17.4% market share in 2019 growth of 1.6% from 2018 to 2019 with production projected at 862 billion cubic feet.

Greene County captured a 14.9% production share this year and 33.8% year-over-year growth with production projected at 749 Bcf.

Bradford County captured a 13.1% production share this year and 19% year-over-year growth with production projected at 659 Bcf.
