Although Gulfport Energy saw an overall production increase in the second quarter of 2019 when compared to the same quarter a year ago, its Utica Shale production dipped slightly, according to Kallanish Energy.
The company as a whole reported second quarter 2019 net production of 1.36 billion cubic feet-equivalent per day (Bcfe/d), which was a 2.2% increase over second-quarter 2018 production of 1.33 Bcfe/d. That mix was roughly 90% natural gas, 7% natural gas liquids and 3% oil.
However, its production in Ohio’s Utica Shale dropped from 92.67 Bcf in the second quarter of 2018, to 92.30 Bcf in during the same period this year. Its gas-equivalent production also dipped, from 96.99 Bcfe, to 95.62 Bcfe.
