Mahoning County compressor station to be part of Tennessee Gas Pipeline Project

The Business Journal reports that Mahoning County, Ohio will be home to a compressor station for the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Project. Compressor stations will also be built in Jackson, Morgan and Tuscarawas counties in Ohio.

Kinder Morgan’s Tennessee Gas Pipeline will remove 964 miles of pipeline from service in a stretch of land from Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, to Columbiana County, Ohio. The company awaits approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. If approved, the lines will be disconnected, transferred to Utica Marcellus Texas Pipeline LLC and converted to natural gas liquids.

The Abandonment and Capacity Restoration Project will cost $412 million.
