The Energy Information Administration projects natural gas production in the seven most productive basins and plays in the U.S. to rise 469 million cubic feet per day (Mmcf/d) from September to October, according to Kallanish Energy.
Gas production will increase to more than 82.36 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d), up from 81.89 Bcf/d in September. Five of the seven basins/plays will see a month-to-month production increase increase during this time.
The Appalachian Basin, which includes the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays, is the second-most productive, climbing 196 Mmcf/d, to 32.81 Bcf/d, from 32.62 Bcf/d in the current month.
