The State Journal reports that oil and gas production company Noble Energy Inc. acquired Rosetta Resources, Inc. as a subsidiary July 21. Rosetta is an independent exploration and development company for oil and gas.
Based in Houston, Noble Energy operates in the Marcellus Shale of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia as well as in Texas’ Eagle Ford Shale, Colorado’s DJ Basin and the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico. Rosetta has operations in the Eagle Ford Shale and the Permian Basin.
