The Business Journal reports that Columbia Pipeline Group will spend $1.75 billion on a natural gas pipeline project that will cross Ohio and West Virginia, as well as a second project pertaining to the Columbia Gulf transmission pipeline.
The Ohio and West Virginia pipeline, Columbia Gas Transmission, will stretch 160 miles. It will connect with a few receipt points in the Marcellus and Utica Shales as well as create a header system for the Appalachian basin.

“The project will enable Columbia to transport up to 1.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day from the Marcellus and Utica shale plays to markets served by its Columbia Gas Transmission and Columbia Gulf Transmission pipeline systems.”
