Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co., a subsidiary of Houston-based pipeline operator Kinder Morgan, recently struck a new deal with a utility company that will allow it to supply more natural gas to upstate New York, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The company signed a new natural gas supply agreement with Con Edison that will allow the Tennessee Gas Pipeline to provide increased natural gas capacity to Con Edison’s distribution system in Westchester County, New York by upgrading its compression facilities outside of the state. The upgrades are expected to boost volumes in Con Edison’s distribution system.
Although the proposed increased capacity is subject to regulatory approval, it could be in service by November 2023.

Thank goodness America keeps drilling and building to supply New Yorkers, who’s government refuses to allow NY to produce it’s own natural gas. No need to say thanks!
