A transmission line that will serve the Pennant Midstream natural gas processing plant has been completed, as reported by The Business Journal.

The 3.5 mile, 138-kilovolt line connects with an existing transformer at the New Springfield processing plant, which uses electricity to separate natural gas into liquid and dry compounds. This addition to the plant will allow for expansion in the future as the shale industry grows in the area.

From The Business Journal:

“The project included installing 81 new wooden poles and one steel pole in 3½ miles of new right-of-way to a substation at the Pennant Midstream plant.”
